Robert Banks Ramirez is an East Los Angeles native, UCLA graduate, filmmaker, writer, producer, and creator of Lil Chola Girl™.

With a lifelong passion for storytelling, Robert has worked across television, film, theater, and live performance, creating stories that celebrate identity, culture, and community.

After years of professional leadership in hospitality and community-building, he is returning to his creative roots through Lil Chola Girl—an original six-season micro-anime universe inspired by East Los Angeles.

Part love letter, part mythology, and part cultural celebration, Lil Chola Girl blends anime, magical realism, and intergenerational storytelling to honor the resilience, beauty, and spirit of the barrio.
